i see the grip is configured for right handers, is this reversible for left handed?

Hi. I'm actually a left-hander myself, but I just use the Joystick with my right hand instead when playing flight simulator. 
I can tell you the buttons can be programmed differently. I haven't tried it yet (I haven't had the need to), but the manual says that they can be. 
The joystick has screws on the side of it, (the side you can't see in the picture) however, the manual doesn't mention anything about the grips being reversible at all and I don't want to unscrew anything to find out if they are. I doubt that they are. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but you might be able to use it left-handed if you re-configure some of the buttons on it depending on what game you are playing.

I don't have an Xbox 360 only a PS3 and PC. 
It's suppose to work on the PS3, but I have not tried. 
I use it to fly planes and helicopters in Battlefield 3 on my PC; it works great.

I haven't played that game but it's a standard joystick and it will define work well. 
If the bottom mappings are off, you can always remap it from the game settings itself. It should be easy. Let me know if you have anymore questions about the product. I still love it!

are the button programmable to other games like from a flight sim to a game like Arma 2?

Yes if the game/software its self recognizes different input axis points (X,Y, Z, and etc) to control what ever you want it to do in the "settings of the software your using" not the driver so much.  Make sure the game settings has a universal option that you can key bind your inputs to no matter what the name is on the input device and your gravy most times.  I've used this stick for universal settings in several games that it may not offer by the specific game controller under the actual sticks name, and has worked fine if this helps.  The stick is descent for the price and the axis points are very smooth.  Thrust Master has been around for decades while input devices are easily recognized by most systems and software when used.  Again the limit is not in the controller, but the software/game your using.

I am looking for a cheap flight stick for Arma 3 and Elite Dangerous, does this one have a easy set up for those games?

The setup is fairly simple and it comes with some pre-installed setups for certain games. I can't speak directly to those games but the system auto detected it for War Thunder and the stick was a dropdown controller option with all configuration done.

I did run this on one system with XP, had to update a driver but it worked fine. Microsoft flight sim.

Win 7  no problems either, haven't tried on my Win 8 ones..

Not a bad stick for the price. Have my 8 year old flying f16's on it now.
