Does this heatsink have better performance then the stock fan include with the Intel i7-4770 Haswell? The stock fan, on average, runs around 80 degrees Celsius. Do you believe this can can do the trick?

I can give you me experience with this cooler on an I7-4930K Ivy Bridge Hex-core (6-core hyperthreaded) CPU that is 100% cpu bound 24*7.
I do not overclock and find that this fan keeps the I7-4930K at ~ 52-54'C, i.e. at the sock 3.4GHZ.
I also note that as soon as I start increasing the CPU clock that the temperature rises, and at even a modest overclock to 3.6GHZ C rises 10+ degrees. I am not the best person at applying thermal paste and I use the paste supplied with the fan however I think that I have applied more than needed and as such at some point will be taking things apart for a cleaning and re-application of paste (arctic silver) very lightly to see if my problem IS due to being over liberal with the paste the first time around.
At this point I would thus not recommend this fan for overclocking because I cannot cite my own experience completely.
I would however suspect that for an entirely stock installation the I7-4770, note non-K overclocking or extreme variant, would work.
I am going to move away from this fan however and already have a Corsair H100i that will be going in because I do want to overclock. I however, do plan to verify the current fan with new paste however probably not in the timeframe you need nor would I be assuming that I would be providing any updates on the web page for this product, although I should improve my newegg citizenship and document things as I go along....
