I upgraded my system from an Alienware R11 with an RTX 3090 card. I mostly use this for Flight Sim and even though the Alienware was ok, I could not use MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 on Ultra settings for a smooth experience and high fidelity. It was time to change. I wanted a PC that would last me another 5 years (or so I hope) . The biggest regret I have is not having planned my PC better from the start because there were many details I didn't account for like additional cables, adapters, and controllers I would need to make it look clean and alive. This is probably closer to a $6.5k build but I haven't added all the receipts yet. Even so, I don't regret it. This thing flies (no pun intended)!
I chose the Antec white case after reading and watching on youtube lots of reviews on cases alone, and I don't regret the decision. This case is very well optimized for cable management, all components fit perfectly. It is strong with great ventilation and affordable. I didn't use the included fans but they will be mounted on a 2nd build I have started on an Antec C8 case.
On MSFS 2024, I've been able to get up to 250 FPS running all on Ultra without any hiccups and without overclocking. In order to achieve this, some tweaking on the NVIDIA control panle and MSFS settings is needed.
Overall, this build is fantastic. Very happy with it.
