My Dream Build That Became Reality
When I first started building PCs in the late '90s and early '00s, I always dreamed of being able to build a PC without much in the way of concern for budget; to just go all in on a top of the line build. I was finally able to do that in 2024-2025, and this is the result of that. I really thought about going with a custom loop, but at the end of the day I decided that if I was going to cut the price down anywhere it would be in this area since the gains would be minimal. Maybe eventually, after all I just want to build maaaaan! It's worth mentioning that the price is inflated due to memory, NVMe, and some parts being significantly cheaper back when I purchased them than the total tally here. Still, I would put it somewhere in the $9-10K range after taxes, S&H and everything else. Fortunately, I was able to offset some of that injury by selling some respectable gear I was replacing with this build.

High Mid tier build
While building the PC low temps was a major factor. Runs ice cold with a idle CPU temp of 29C and 50-65C under heavy load with a light overclock. FPS in most AAA games are well into the 100s with minimal dips in FPS. Lastly this PC has 13 fans including the GPU and PSU fans and even under heavy loads its nearly silent.

First gaming PC
I built this in October of 2024 with a 3060 12 gb instead of a 4070. I upgraded September of 2025 to the 4070. I play games like Minecraft, War Thunder, and Beam.ng Drive. I hope to someday stream and competitively play other games. I like criticism, so let me know what you think of the build. Game suggestions are also considered.

MSI MPG MONSTER BUILD
This was a gift to myself, from myself. Why? Because I deserve it. Every part of this build was thought out. I didn’t chase “Top Seller” badges or popularity votes. This isn’t a popularity contest. I went after real specs, real performance, and the exact look I had in my head. **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D I was done with Intel. I wanted X3D, and I wanted to finally go AMD. I looked at options like the 9800X3D and 9900X3D, but the 9950X3D was the perfect fit: 16 cores / 32 threads, 5.7GHz boost, 4.3GHz base, 170W TDP, 144MB total cache, and PCIe 5.0 **Motherboard:** MSI <3 The board had to be MSI. I wanted this to feel like an MSI build, and MSI makes serious hardware. Also, I was already locked in on the case, and the absolute top-tier boards weren’t going to fit my vision. This one hits the sweet spot exactly what I wanted **RAM:** 6000+ MT/s (and stable) I looked high. I looked low. I landed on 256GB because that’s what I wanted in this machine and I wanted it fast. I’m running 4 sticks at 6000 MT/s with AMD EXPO on G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo (F5-6000J3644D64GX4-TZ5NR). This was one of the few kits that’s actually proven to be stable at 6000 in a full 4-DIMM setup. I’m very pleased **GPU:** MSI GeForce RTX 5090 32G SUPRIM SOC Enough said... just look at it! **Case:** NZXT H9 Elite I went with the NZXT H9 Elite because the whole build had to look clean. I had a specific vision for how I wanted this monster to look **PSU:** MSI MPG A1250GS Since it’s an MSI leaning build, I went MSI on the power supply too. And I’m glad I did! The cables are clean and premium, and the routing came out organized and satisfying. No one’s going to see all the back-side work… but I will. That’s the point **SSD:** Samsung 9100 PRO (not the everyone else pick) I chose the Samsung 9100 PRO over the 990 PRO for one reason: it’s in a different league. Samsung rates the 9100 PRO at up to 14,800 MB/s read and 13,400 MB/s write, and they literally call it two times faster than the 990 PRO (which is up to 7,450 / 6,900). This build has the need for that speed. People can go buy whatever’s popular. I'll buy what’s better **Cooling:** LIAN LI Hydroshift II (I made it work) NewEgg’s builder flagged it as incompatible and technically… it is. But I got it in. I picked the Lian Li Hydroshift II because I wanted hidden tubes. I didn’t want that droopy hose look. When I installed it, I found the incompatibility issue. The stock tube brackets prevent it from seating right in the NZXT frame, so I removed the brackets, and the fit instantly worked. There’s also just enough space behind the radiator area to push the tubes up and keep them clean without those brackets. The exact look I wanted. Take a look at the Photo. For fans, I went Lian Li UNI Fan SL-Infinity Wireless 120 so I didn’t have to run extra wires. Clean front. Clean back. Clean everything. (Note: pay attention to fan orientation) One other fitment issue was that the rear fan was barely too tight about 1/8in needs to be cut off to fit perfectly. The fix was simple, I chose the side of the fan I wanted visible and removed the cover on the hidden side to get the clearance. I used a blade and cut off that 1/8in from the other side. It surprisingly easy to do. I don’t regret it. The look came out perfect **Monitor:** MSI MPG 272URX You can’t cheap out here. I went with the MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED 4K (3840x2160), 240Hz, 0.03ms. That’s the kind of panel that actually matches what this PC can do. Let me tell you, anyone that's seen my screen their 1st words are "wow" **Hardware:** Logitech Keyboard + mouse are Logitech. I’ve been on Logitech for years and they make great gear. Headset is the Logitech Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED and the sound quality is legit

Ironsides
I built this solid block of metal around July of last year and its been great, I thought naming it Ironsides was a good way to convey its my armored warship. I started building PCs in 2017 after I graduated college and here recently I build PCs for people on the side for extra money. Ironsides is my personal daily driver build used for everything from gaming to work. It wasnt until last month that I finally had enough to put my whole set up together, I always wanted a four monitor set up. The 7900XTX and Ryzen 9 combo puts anything I run on it in the dust. I got lucky with the RAM, it actually came with the CPU and Motherboard on a discount where I bought them in a bundle. I dont think id ever need more than 96GB of RAM no matter how many Skyrim tree mods I run. I do some VR gaming too and its nothing to Ironsides, no issues there either. I got like a total of 17 fans installed into this beast with an AIO CPU cooler. Im thinking hard about moving into full water cooling but I might do that whenever a better GPU comes out, maybe a Christmas gift one year in the future.

Pride and Joy
My first build where I picked every piece and put it all together myself. It was easier than I was expecting but I was so cautious it took me quite a while. The only issue is the power supply doesn't have output for the 60W USB fast charging header on the motherboard so I won't be charging my phone from this but charging my USB headset is no issue. The case is awesome! Everything that can be connected or set is done for you including 3 fans at the bottom of the case, 2 on the side, and 1 in the back, all connected to a small board that synchronizes the RGB and fans and has open ports for more lights and fans if you need them. Drop in the motherboard, connect the ARGB and fan headers and the front panel cables to your motherboard, connect two power cables to SATA from your power supply and you have synchronized RGB you can toggle through using the button under the power button the front of the case. No extra software needed if you don't want it and there are a ton of preset options. If you have trouble getting it all started, using the USB-C connectors at the top of the rear panel will use integrated graphics and works much better than HDMI which I learned the hard way. If you use any of the other USB-C connectors you will get stuck on diagnostic 04 during boot. I had been using a Lenovo gaming laptop with a 3070 Laptop GPU. Games that would burn my hands on the laptop - at the same graphics settings - the fans on the new PC could handle with fans at minimum speed the whole time. Rainbow colors and fun to use - it's my Pride and Joy.

Recovery Build
My gaming/jack of all trades rig I built in 2007 just hard crashed and would not boot no matter what I tried in the BIOS, change MB battery ect. So it gave me a good reason to upgrade. I reused my Cooler Master Haf X case to keep the costs somewhat down LOL that was funny. Put in I9 14900K, to an Asus Z790 MB, Corsair RGB 64GB RAM, PNY GTX 5080 OC (My last card was a GTX 580 this new card is Enormous), Western Digital 8TB SSD, Asus ROG 850w Power supply, and two Gigabyte 27" monitors that were on sale on the Egg. Don't judge me on cable management it still needs work, but I needed to get my system back up and running as fast as possible. But so far this thing is taking everything I throw at it, Ran FurMark for an hour and temps never went above 165* F. That's pretty decent for a budget I/O cooler and the Haf X is simply a GIGANTIC case with lots of airflow, makes a great chassis to build in.
