will fit and work in an Asus chromebox ?

No it will not fit in a Chomebox. The Chrombox takes a M.2 SSD (Also know as a NGFF) This is a mSATA SSD you need a M.2 SSD. Just search on neweggs site for "M.2 SSD" and you will find more than a few that will work with the chrombox. Also make sure you don't get anything bigger than 3.5mm if you want to use it in the chromebox
