Pros: Can take it anywhere and use across multiple platforms, Speedy enough for what i use it for and not bad price. Has password lock on it so i dont have to worry about someone picking it up and formatting it by accident and i can make it where on my computer it opens without password as my computer is password locked.
Cons: none as of yet.
Overall Review: Bought this for family photo albums has about 1000 pictures and 15 short videos and still plenty of room. My kids add their photos and grandkids photos so we have all family photos in one place. Have purchased a couple of 16 gig last week so i can pass them to kids and iwill make folders named the same as on mine so i just copy to my drive and tell it to skip photos i already have.
Pros: Works. Reasonable speed, size, design. Greta value with mail in rebate.
Cons: - I dont like mail in rebates, but they do make it for a great buy.
Overall Review: - Just follow instructions for rebate submission, maake copies of documens and call if you did not receive your rebate on time.
Pros: Had this drive for a little over a week and it was very fast. Now suddenly Windows says the drive needs to be formatted. Later that day it stopped getting recognized at all. Had to run Chkdsk a few times just after I got it. It was great while it lasted...to bad that was only 10 days. I always formally eject my usb drives and am very careful with my stuff. Thankfully I had a backup drive so I didn't lose any critical data. I don't know. I tried to cheap out on something and it bit me. Lesson learned.
Pros: I bought this for my kid's old Xbox 360 with the 20 Gig drive in it. I formatted it on my new Xbox 360 Slim 250 Gig and it meets the Xbox specifications and did not pop up the warning like some other USB drives. This actually has more space than the onboard drive in the old Xbox and is a lot cheaper than trying to upgrade the hard drive.
Overall Review: Great upgrade for the older Xbox 360 units with limited storage or the newer Xbox 360 Slim 4 Gig units with no hard disk drive installed. Highly recommended!
Pros: Worked fast, when it worked.
Cons: Died at 4 months, won't mount, can't be reformatted.
Overall Review: It didn't get much use. I used it once in a while to transfer new files from my desktop to my laptop. It was working fine, I unmounted it from my desktop, plugged it into my laptop, it was unreadable, unrecognized. Plugged it back into my desktop, it was unreadable. I opened all my disk related utilities to try and save the contents, but it was not readable. The computer asked if I wanted to format it, so I tried that, but format failed, again and again. It is totally unusable.
Not worth the time or the money to deal with Toshiba with warranty, even though I paid more a few months ago than it sells for right now. Look somewhere else for a flash drive. They should last longer than a few months.
Pros: Small, but not tiny, sleek, modestly dim blue status led
Cons: Cap doesn't fit on the back, write speed is underwhelming
Overall Review: On my system Check Flash reported 81MB/s read and ~11 MB/s write. But it's five stars cause I got it for 9 bucks shipped, and for that it's just fine.
Pros: worked great for a week, then ....
Cons: after a week i got "unrecognized media" and drive needs to be formatted. sent back for replacement, 2nd drive lasted 1 week and got same messages. newegg would not replace / refund said i had to claim manufactures warranty. Toshiba's support site is HORRIBLE!!! i'm out $29 plus shipping (twice)
Overall Review: I WILL NEVER BY TOSHIBA PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!
Pros: Worked pretty well for about three weeks. Now it's useless.
Cons: This is my first Toshiba flash drive and without a doubt, my last. I've never had a USB flash drive fail so fast. Wish I had checked here first.
