If you mean the .iso files that you can open with an application that mounts them, then yes. This is Windows 8, but it has a "Desktop" application that functions like Windows 7. People that don't like the Windows 8 interface just go directly to the Desktop app when they start up the comp.

How long is the battery life of this laptop?

Not enough experience to really say for sure yet. But I do know that I selected this laptop because the processor had good processing speeds, but low power draw. The maximum power draw for this processor according to AMD charts is 19 watts. This is a very low power draw for a processor so I am expecting fairly good battery life. I also plan on installing a Solid State Drive to replace the existing disk hard drive, so this will also lower the power consumption. Hope this info was helpful.
