Pros: Very sleek. Perfectly non-squished keyboard layout. Widescreen is nice. Speakers aren't bad. Wireless capabilities are tops. Monitor sits behind the base rather than on top to allow more space. Runs EQ2 on high quality settings flawlessly. Overall, this is the best bang for your buck laptop you will find on newegg. I'm extremely pleased, and will be buying a second one for my wife shortly.

Cons: Gets really warm. If you are buying a 1000 dollar laptop, why not shell out an extra 50 for a laptop cooler? I did, and everything stays nice and cool all day long. Use your head when you buy expensive things, not your wallets.

Overall Review: It comes preloaded with an out of date flash player. Simple update, but can't fullscreen in IE without the update for videos. Not really a con though.

Pros: i bought this back on memorial weekend when it was going for 850.00 i had been searching for several months on what to get but when i came across this deal with 4gb ram, t6400 processor, 64 bit, and finally what sold me on this one is the graphics card with 1gb memory. you will not find a better deal on a laptop with this kind of graphics capabilities! plays crysis and many other newer games well.

Cons: very shiny and shows up fingerprints bad but i don't really mind they are easily wiped away

Pros: Dedicated video -- it runs scientific imaging and plotting software without hiccups, as well as games; very slick Dual core -- see above: moderately resource-heavy software runs smoothly Big screen -- dang its big...and crisp

Cons: Slow harddrive -- going to upgrade this in the near future Heavy -- not ridiculous, but definitely not a "mobile solution"

Overall Review: Well-priced all-around laptop! I caught a deal for $800 and have been impressed so far with the system. I'd definitely grab this again for the same cash. As a travelling professional, it comes in a bit big, but its capabilities are well worth the weight. NewEgg shipped same day, with delivery in two -- as always, a tight operation!

Pros: This is a nice mid level, no nonsence laptop. It has the CPU power and RAM to take on many day to day tasks, and the added video card allows for some casual gaming and moderate detail levels. It is well assembled, and the plastic does not flex or rattle.

Cons: It does run pretty hot. Has not been overheating for me, but this is not something you want on your lap. (This is why I dropped it one egg, for everything else I knew what I was buying from the specs) The HDD is pretty slow. For normal tasks this is not a big deal, but file transfers and software installs are slowed down because of this. Somewhat heavy. Still a 'travlers' notebook, but it does have a decent weight to it. For this price point a Blue Ray player should of been included.

Overall Review: The pics do not show up shiny this laptop is. Both the outside shell, and the inside plastics are high gloss black. Even the keyboard is gloss black and really shiny. Fingerprints show up easily, but also whip away just as easy. The Boston Accustic speakers have a plastic grill that shows up the speakers. Pretty nice to look at, but is only cosmetic. The speakers are on par as far as sound quality, but do produce decent volume. 4 GB of memory really makes this a good buy, though there are only 2 DIMMs so the upgrade to 8 is going to be a costly one. Came with Vista Home x64, formatted and installed Win 7 RC 1 x64. Win 7 works well, and picked up all the drivers minus 1 minor driver.

Pros: Beautiful screen; light; great speakers; well engineered; great price.

Cons: Runs hot; buying a laptop cooler should be considered mandatory.

Overall Review: Bought this to replace my wife's Dell XPS (again) after we replaced the motherboard on it (again, and again, and again - and no, I'm not kidding). Very impressive features / price-point ratio; excellent initial quality.

Pros: Great computer for the price. Ran perfectly right out of the box downloaded my online game and was playing in no time. Screen is clear and bright. Touch pad is one of the best most responsive that I have used. Runs a bit warm but the multi-speed fan works perfect to keep it cool. Runs Eve on highest settings perfectly. Not a big fan of ATI but this card has impressed me.

Cons: It is a bit heavy but I guess you have to expect that with the 17 inch screen.

Pros: Nice details such as subwoofs, touchpad keys to play music or videos.

Cons: This laptop becomes extremely hot. A must have is a very effective cooler. Over heated on me more than 5 times.
