It has 8 Gbs lan ports and for how many devices that can connect to it. I can probably say that it's double that of the previous gen. Though it still has the problems that pretty much every wireless router has. The more devices the slower it becomes.

Can you trunk 2 lan ports to connect to a 2gb/s switch?

There is no such thing as a 2Gbps switch and trunk means something different that what you're thinking. What you're asking is if you can use Link Aggregation, and the answer to that is yes. You would select the option in the routers settings and use the LAN2 and LAN 3 ports. That would give you an aggregate 2Gbps link, so long as the switch ALSO supports link aggregation. Both devices need to support it to work.

Does it now or will it by a firmware update support WPA3?

It now supports WPA3 through a firmware update.

Does it support access point mode?
