will this work with my laptop ? i need a wifi adapter for my laptop since it doesn't allow 5g wifi , i have a toshiba laptop and my adapter is fine just the laptop allows up to 2.4ghz wifi and so i wanna try to figure out how i can add on to my laptop to make it allow 5g .

Yes it is dual band. You should see the separate 5 GHz network on your home router. If you have an enterprise network, the connectivity preferences will decide when it connects to the 5 GHz frequency based on signal strength
