Can these go through buildings or does it need a clear and direct path to the "home base?"

Clear line of sight is recommended although I have gone through a few walls with no problem. I probably would not try going through buildings.

Question 2

Can it be mounted on an RV to connect camp ground WIFI?

Yes. It is designed to be pole mounted. It has a rear concave backing to better fit to a pole, pie or rounded mount. It also has slits for Zip ties to quickly attache to the pole. I would not be sure about a permanent mounting as I am unsure how safe it would be if you were driving.

Question 3

I need to provide a WiFi network to link sensors and video within a 170 acre training facility.  Everything is outdoors. Power will be solar/battery/inverter. The longest distance one way is approximately 1.5 Km but I can use multiple repeaters. 
I only need to connect the data within the facility. I have no bandwidth needs to the internet.
What would you recommend?

These run off 24VDC thru passive PoE, so if you make up your own passive PoE injectors you can avoid the additional losses in the inverter.  DC input spec is Voltage range: 16-27VDC, which is a little below full charge voltage on 24V lead acid batteries, but if you are doing solar power, then you know all about voltages and power budgets, or you might use 18V system voltage or something.  I don't have a power monitor here, so I can't tell you what the real-world power consumption is, and it'll vary depending on how much data you are transferring and how high you have your output power set.  I'd start with a SWAG of 200W solar panel and 4KWHR of battery per node, plus whatever else you are powering there.

You won't need repeaters with these boxes, they'll do 15KM.  However, you'll want line of sight.  These work well and are inexpensive, depending on if you want WiFi within the facility or just want to link your various nodes, I'd use their Pharos MAXtream (TDMA) protocol to reduce interference issues between your nodes.

Oh, right, you have no internet connection, so probably don't need WiFi.

Question 4

i have an adsl speed 8 Mb connected to my router which is far with 5 km and i want to connect to using one of this !! so should i use cpe 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz ?? by the way i don't want the bandwidth increase

Dear Mr. Mourad,
For better performance I recommend 5G but it does not really matter since its better to have secondary WIFI hot spot in second building and your Second CPE is connected to another lan (switch, etc)
If you pick 2.4G your neighbor will see it in their wifi devices (FYI)

Actually I am using two of the CPE devices for making a bridge 
(WDS). My client and master cpe's are 1km far so I don't guaranty for 8km but I am positive because I get a really strong signal. As far as the train is flatted which gives us a line of sight (eye to eye). If you are mounting your devices on top of the buildings root, use a tall pole. you could use Google map for adjustment in case of long distances there are you tube videos for other products (ubiquiti, etc) (FYI).

Regarding Lan configuration, its better to config static ip on both CPE's and make 2 DHCP ranges one for dsl router and second CPE in the other building. So first CPE would not mess with clients in the dsl modem building (confilictless ip).
this device has a good latency and speed 1-5 ms and 10 mB/s if you copy files from a shared folder and I do have 5 Ip phones in second site (VoIP is a really sensitive protocol to speed and latency) working flawlessly fine!

Question 5

May I know the radiation exposure limits for this item ? Do this equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth ?

says the limit is 10mW/cm^2, so as long as you don't strap it to your face, I can't imagine you'd get any significant exposure.  That said, I'm no expert, and you seem to have a legal/regulatory question, so check in with your legal/regulatory folks to see what limits they are concerned about, and if it matches the above.

Question 6

I'm simply wanting to extend my wifi to my shop, 150 ft from my house.  Line of sight is clear.  Would two of these do the trick?
