I received this router for Christmas , I have a cable modem ,does it work with cable modem also ? it appears to be for a phone line type connection in order to work correctly. thanks for the help

I am using this as an ADSL router, however the user manual states the unit can be used in bridge mode (see Pg 30 @ of the user guide) between this server and other network resources (like a cable modem). Give it a try. Good luck
