Does this block the other outlet?

Partially--you might be able to fit an ungrounded (2-prong) plug into the other outlet, but you definitely won't be able to insert a grounded (3-prong) plug. The outlet on the front face does help, but you do lose an outlet with this unit.

Question 2

i'm looking for a powerline that has very strong range. something that can go from one end of the house to the other end in the garage. my tp link nano powerline starts getting choppy and cuts off when I go too far. Will this one work for the better?

It may depend on how your house is wired, but this device has been great for me.  I have a two storey house and my wireless router is on one side on the first floor in an enclosed, previously-outdoor room, and this device is completely on the other side of the house in an upstairs bedroom.  It works great for me and I'd love to get some more.  It is definitely better for me than the wireless signal.  I can't compare it to the other device you reference, so it may be that there other things with your house wiring that cause signal degradation.

Question 3

Can you plug a Network Hub to one of them? Example, One will go to the Main Router and the Second one to an X location but from it a Network Hub to connect 2 or 3 devices....

If I understand your question correctly the answer is yes. I have my main router plugged into the powerline adapter and then in my office which is 3 rooms away I have my main computer and a Trendnet Gigabit Switch plugged into the adapter. From the Trendnet switch I then can have additional computers plugged in while I am working on them for internet access.

Question 4

If one were to replace a slower version of this (AV500) with this one (AV2000) at the router but still continue to use the AV500s in remote locations, would the system be forced to lower the speed of all the connected adapters to the AV500 speed or would AV2000s maintain the faster speed while still working with the AV500s?

This is by no means an official answer, but my assumption is that all 2k nodes operate at that speed when in communication with each other, while any cross device communication will be limited to the lower spec end. There may be 1 exception, these are advertised able to daisy chain on the same leg of an electrical run with the middle node acting as a repeater/amplifier of sorts getting you higher throughput between the two end nodes had the intermediate node not been there. If one of the lower spec'd nodes is in an intermediate portion of the internal wiring run, it may not be able to repeat/amplify/forward the higher end spec to between the terminal nodes so you could/would likely see performance degradation above not having that node in the middle position. However, this is just speculation to an extent. Although I do not think in a mix spec deployment it forces all nodes to the lower spec say with direct traffic between two 2k nodes. Best be would be to put the 2k at the router and only allow the 500's to be at the most distal endpoints of any wiring runs.

Question 5

Does the product works both in 110 v and 220 v rated electrical networks?

I have 3 different models of the TP Link powerline adapters and they all say on the back of them "100-240V - 50/60Hz. So, I guess from that you can use them on a 240 volt circuit.
However, I don't know of any modems or routers that work on those voltages. However, I do know some computer power supplies are switched to work on 240 voltage. Before you plug the powerline adapter in though I would look at the back of it and make sure it states that it can be used on 240 voltage. If it doesn't then by all means don't plug it in to the higher voltage. As long as the 240 volt circuit has one leg that is a neutral than this should work as you are actually using the neutral leg as the data line as far as I know.

Question 6

Do the power outlets into which one plugs these devices have to be on the same electrical circuit?

They function best if used on the same circuit, but will work (with slower speed) if the signal  needs to jump to another circuit. For example: If one adapter is placed in a bedroom and another is placed in the kitchen and in between the two adapters is a service panel with breakers. It's not ideal, but will work.

Can I  plug this into a surge protector?

Question 8

What kind of speeds are you getting? I have their AV1200 from a year ago and while it's better than WiFi, I'm getting speeds around 10% of rated (115 Mbps max compared to 1200 Mbps on the box).

I have never actually taken the time to look at the speeds that I am getting. 
I have never had any problems with the product whatsover and I have at least 2 of them in the house. working fine. Also have the AV2000 which is a much better functioning unit ....

Question 9

I need a third adapter, but it only appears to come in 2-pack kits. Does anyone know what the part number is for just one additional adapter?
