Does this work with  a nextbook?

I am unfortunately not familiar with Nextbook. My husband and I have used the Transcend flash cards for years and have never had any difficulties with their products.

My husband says that if you have a SDHC card slot on your Nextbook that yes it will work. I also purchased a second Transcend flash card at the same time that comes with an adapter so that it will work through a USB slot, model TS16GUSDHC10-P3 also purchased from Newegg.  The USB is going to be slower than if you are able to use the card slot.

about how many songs can you download with 16gb?

Well, on average a song is 4 minutes.  That would be a 4mb .mp3 file.  So, based on that information, you could store approximately 4000 songs.  Obviously that would change based on length of song, file type, etc.  A higher bit-rate results in a larger file as well.  Personally, I use .flac audio files a lot, and they are larger than mp3's.
