Is this a lifetime use product or does it expire after a year?

You use it one year from time of activation before renewing.  They go by your activation number to determine when renewal is required and how many users are involved.  The three user version is usually higher but I find Trend Micro to be exceptional program.

Only if you are running widows on your mac via Parallels or other virtual software. It does NOT run natively on the Mac.

Trend Micro charges for the subscription one year at a time. You pay for the subscription not the release. As long as you have an active subscription you can update to the new releases as they become available.
