Will this thing pull dhcp from a server to use as it's LAN IP address?

Yes, but only after you reconfigure it.  It defaults to a static IP (192.168.10.100) when it starts up.

There is no dhcp server on the device itself - it needs to be connected to a LAN with its own dhcp server.

Can WPS be disabled? It's fairly well-known at this point that WPS has flaws which allow attackers insanely easy access to your hotspot.

I had a few screen shots that showed setup which includes a manual conection or the use of WPS, not sure that you can disable just use or not use.

I bought one several years ago - was working great.  Then I switched from high speed internet through Verizon to Fios and I can't connect at all.  What am I doing wrong?

Your IP address range changed and you may have set a static address when you originally set it up.  Press reset with a paper clip then run the setup disk again
