Does this have a way of mounting it to a wall? like screw holes on the back? I looked at all the pics and downloaded the manual and quick start guide. I saw no mention of it, nor did I see a diagram for laying out the holes. so i am assuming NO.

Yes Matthew, you can mount it to the wall.  This model has two slots on the back to slide it over the screws.  Just use small pan (flat) head screws.  If you are mounting it to drywall (sheet rock), you need to use wall anchors with the screws so they will not pull out. The antennas will move in any direction so they will not be a problem.  If you do not know, you can plug in up to four cables if you need use any older device that does not support wireless.  Also, if you do not know, a router will give you added firewall protection (but still be careful on the internet).  I might add that this is a very good quality router.  The signal strength is excellent.  In almost a year of using it there are no problems.  I have an older desktop wired in and a laptop wireless, the signal is strong on both. Hope this helps you.

I've used the router since I bought it last summer to use with the Motorola modem recommended by COMCAST.  It's performed like a champ in our 2200 square foot two story home.  We use it for video streaming with two ROKU boxes, as well as two WIFI-connected work stations, and two smart phones.  The router is located on the upper level.  Signal strength throughout the house is "good" or better.

I have a Trendnet Tew-718BrM modem router. I have been supplied with a password from my Internet Provider, which I then insert under PPPoE password, but it then defaults to an unknown password that I did not insert!

How can I stop this from happening? My ISP cannot assist, so do I need a new router or is there a solution?

Please help, this is urgent!

I have the same item you ask about.   My isp  is comcast and they do not require a PPPoE password in the router.  I have had a router for about 16 years now, actually a series, as mechanical devices wear out, or in the Trendnet case, I wanted a newer one to extend the wifi range.   I have never had to enter a PPPoE into any router.  I have helped friends hook up their routers, same deal, no PPPoE needed to be set.

Suggest you ignore entering the PPPoE and see if the system works.  As I understand it, the PPPoE is a unique number to the computer so the router directs incoming to one of many devices connected to your router, either wifi or hard wired.

Andre,  I you like WOW this is a great game router. low latency measurements. If WOW is not working you need to find out what error message it is giving you. Connect to the router and sign in. Look for the logs there. This will provide the right direction. Could be a firewall or like was whispered, "QoS"
