Is it okay to plug a UPS into this? Will this block the top outlet from using a three prong plug?

I just received my purchase of this kit last week. Have not had a chance to set it up yet but did immediately take it out of the box to test to see if it blocks the use of the top outlet by a 3 prong plug. Aside from the 1200 advertised, the main thing I was looking for was that it would not block the other outlet in a normal 2-outlet receptacle. Happily, this does NOT block use of a grounded, 3 prong plug in the outlet above!! There is a bit of space between the two, so they are not even tight on each other. Cannot answer on UPS as I am not using one.
