The small, pointed pair separation towers on the connector physically separate each wire pair, making terminations quick and easy. The cutting ledge works perfectly with a 110 punchdown tool, and it eliminates the need for double-punching so you don’t lose any time during installation.
Patented Retention Force Technology
With the Leviton Cat 6 connector you are assured additional long-term network reliability through its patented Retention Force Technology. This unique feature ensures high levels of performance, enables power over Ethernet (POE) applications, and minimizes damage to the connector caused by accidental inserts and use of incorrect cords. By maintaining pressure against the connector’s gold-plated tines, a stronger union is created between the tines and the plug and the life of the connector is significantly increased.
