Will it support 4K res (3840x2160) monitor? Specs above say it supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600. I called Tripp Lite and was assured it supported 4K.

Yes. I own an LG 34UB88-P 4K monitor and am typing this message on it now, using the Tripp Lite. My setup switches between a Dell XPS 8900 w/ GTX1060 graphics and a Lenovo T480s laptop. Dell runs perfectly at full 3840x2160 resolution.
