I'm running 10.9, but yes...  I'm 99% sure I've used this TL USBoE device on Snow Leopard at a previous job.  It's seen [or actually not seen] by the OS as just a USB cable anyway, so you shouldn't have any problem as long as your peripheral and its driver are compatible with 10.6.  Good luck!

Question 2

I have a older mini mac that I am using to process and print photos from a usb sd card reader in a remote location.  I am running ethernet through fiber to that location now.  Can I I plug this B202-150 into the mini mac and then the cat5 into a hub that the fiber is attached to and then at the other end of the fiber have a hub that the other end of the B202-150 is attached to and then attach the card reader to that and it will be like I just plugged the card reader into the mini mac?

Hi, you can't use this through a hub/switch and get the results you want. The Cat cable needs to be directly connected. In this case just because the Cat cable is being used does't mean its a network protocol TCP,UDP... that a switch can understand. The cable is used for its low signal loss and twisted pair. You would need devices that converted the USB to an Ethernet protocol and one your Hub/switch would support. I've seen these types of devices but they are not cheap and there are knock-offs that don't work. I can tell you the extenders should work with a USB flash drive because I just tested it! :) But the connections still need to be direct end to end.

Has anyone used the Tripp Lite B202-150 with Windows 10?  What was your experience like setting up & using this exxtender?

I use it on Win7Prox64 and it works ok.

Data doesn't seem to have the same flow rate as with a 6' USB cable, so a couple of the manufacturing machines I run using it have had some minor hiccups, but nothing I haven't been able to work though. For most applications I don't see that being an issue.

They're plug-and-play.  As easy to hook up as plugging them in.  They work pretty well.

Is it possible to use a usb webcam connect to a cat5 transmitter to use as a security camera? i just want to know

I don't think this is the adapter you need. This is a USB Extender over Cat 5 cable. I used it to go from the usb webcam on our presentation TV to the computer in the back of the room in our conference room. You need a Cam with an ethernet port.
