Question 1

Will this allow my 144hz monitor (that has DVI-D) to connect to my graphics card (that has DisplayPort) and run at 144hz refresh rate? I've seen a lot of stuff online that make it seem like that isn't possible.

Question 2

I got a new 960 gtx, do I need two of these to have the same signal quality, or will the quality be the same if I do one from standard dvi and one by this adapter?

I ask because using a dvi and hdmi cable has the monitors looking different and I do NOT like the color differences.

You haven't said if you are using identical monitors but, assuming you are, I would get 2 of these adapters because that gives you the best chance for identical signals.  I see that the 960 GTX has 3 display ports so they are clearly expecting a multi-monitor user to incorporate those ports.  I have had uniformly good success with Tripp-Lite products and they are my first choice for cables.  Not the cheapest but they stand behind their warranties and the quality is great. I have a monitor with a Display port, will this work going to a dock with a DVI ? The Display port would plug into the back of the monitor and i would use a DVI cable to connect to the docking station.

Will this work to my apple monitor (not a computer) only has USB ports---to VGA cable that runs into my iPad mini so I can see it on a larger monitor?

I think you need a Lightning adapter to go from the iPad mini to your monitor.  Also, I've never seen a monitor that only has USB ports.  Is it possible that the monitor has an HDMI port?  Do a search for iPad mini technical specifications and look for the Apple link that ends in /SP661.  Look under the TV and Video section:

The Tripp Lite adapter is meant to be used between a computer that has a Displayport connector and a DVI monitor.  I've used a number of them with great success in combination with a Tripp Lite DVI cable.

Question 5

I want to plug this into my HP Folio 9470m laptop, and connect it to a DVI KVM that I have (SYBA SY-KVM20075), and then into my AOC e2243Fw.

The laptop specs say it has a DisplayPort 1.1a
The KVM cable is a DVI-D Single Link Male
The Monitor has a DVI-D female

Will this work?

According to an article from NVidia that I found by doing a search for DVI-D vs DVI-I: NVIDIA based graphics cards which carry a DVI-I connector are fully compatible with flat panel LCD monitors which typically have DVI-D cables.  I think, therefore, it should work.  I purchased several of these for a customer and they worked like a charm.  I hope this helps.
