Pros: Solid - it is what it is. No problems with several interventions - backs up my 3D printer and the job went uninterrupted after switching on to battery for several minutes - it ran my 3D printer, computer, and monitor...and saved my job from getting ruined and lots of time.

Cons: * Horrible for the office - fine for server rooms if noise isn't an issue *Software is campy

Overall Review: Seriously, I should have sent it back on the fan alone - it's horrible. I'm going to try and switch it out. I don't think it's fair to dock more than one egg for the fan. However, if you like a quiet office, forget about this one

Overall Review: Way better then APC with cleaner power @ less load. APCs switch the batteries on when needed...what a joke. We had a power surge destroy our APC units. APCs could only run 30% after. Tripplites were fine, so im sold...plus they are in Chicago..local

Pros: I've had my SU1000RTXL2Ua now for nearly seven years and after a recent prolonged power outage it indicated that the batteries needed replacing. That is amazing service! I live out in the country and although power outages are getting less frequent They still happen. The primary use for this UPS is to protect my NAS, with the USB cable connected between the it shuts down the NAS before the batteries run out of juice. Seems to run for a long time, maybe an hour before shutting down. I'm thinking of getting another to replace an APC I'm not totally happy with. This is the best UPS I've ever had. I would recommend this to anyone who is serious about protecting their systems.

Cons: Like many have already said it has a loud fan, that runs all the time. The replace battery warning beep can't be switched off, let face it we don't keep spare battery packs handy so it would be nice to stop the eternal beep until the new pack arrives. Turning it off when you know power will not be restored soon is a trick you have to learn, at first it doesn't seem to want to be turned off but it can be done. I guess it's good to protect against accidental shutdown. Like most UPS remote software Tripp lite are not in the software business. I prefer not to use the supplied software. Thankfully they make great UPS systems.

Pros: They have been working for us.

Pros: I've purchased three of these for our servers in our office. Two a little over a year ago, and then a third a couple weeks ago. They have given me consistant & reliable power, and I do not hesitate to recommend this model to others. The one time I had a question about the product (was in reference to getting the software to work with an old Windows 2000 server - our PBX, cannot upgrade) customer service was very helpful in finding me a software version solution that worked. Given my power requirements I can generally run two servers, or a server and a couple switches, off one of these for about 20 minutes - more than enough time to shut down safely.

Cons: Wish shipping were cheaper? Wish the rackmount installation instructions were a little better? Wish they had a digital display? Nothing wrong with these worth knocking an egg off over.

Pros: Full on-line (0 transfer time) sine wave UPS. Your equipment always runs off the inverter and never sees fluctuations in the line voltage and hence the 0 transfer time. Transfer time means when the power is out of range, your equipment is exposed to the fluctuations of the input line for that amount of (transfer) time before the battery backup cuts in and takes over. Also many UPS's generate square wave power instead of normal sine wave. Square waves are easy for digital devices to create but contain harmonics not found in line voltage.

Cons: Noisy fan (-1 star). I have a Cosmos 1000 case (that has sound proofing) so things were pretty quiet around my desk until I installed this UPS. The fan sounds like it's running at full RPMs even when the power output is shut off.

Overall Review: I purchased an earlier version of this same UPS (that one only had a serial port output) eight years ago. It was still running just fine on the original batteries. It wasn't exactly silent but this new one is so much noisier. My old one died out on a hot day recently. Autopsy found that it had clogged completely with dust bunnies and burned out.

Pros: Rack Mountable, Lots of Power (800 watts).

Cons: Noisey.

Pros: Box had pretty picture on it.

Cons: 73lb ups came in a box with no packaging material and enough packaging tape to circle the box 20 times. Unit was in bad shape inside.
