So let me get this straight. i plug this into a usb 3.0 port and then an SD card into the other end, right? I have a micro SDXC card for my GOPRO HEOR 5 with a micro Sd to SD adapter. Can I plug the adapter into this adapter then access the videos/pictures on my tower?

The specifications say that this supports SDXC cards, so baring other issues, you should be able to do that.
