Analog audio outputs for up to 7.1-channel sound systems are built into the front or a single optical digital audio (S/PDIF) jack provides Dolby Digital and DTS multi-channel DVD sound to A/V receivers or digital speakers. For those that want a more immersive audio experience from their stereo speakers or headphones, the Roadie has an integrated surround-sound simulator. There's even a built-in 5.1-channel amplifier for use with 5.1 surround-sound headphones.

It's not just for audio output, either. The device has built-in stereo microphones for recording sound directly to your computer or you can connect an external stereo microphone.
