can you hear the game sounds thru the headset?

Yes. You can. You have the option through the PlayStation menu to recieve sound through the headset or your speakers should you decide to do so.

will this headset work for a PC with separate ports for a mic and headphones?

I use this when I play LoL, the USB allows me to hear the game, talk on Skype and I can plug the mini jack into my phone for some Pandora

will it work on apple ipad?

Accepted Answer

The P11 requires both usb and audio jack input. You may be able to power the headset with a usb charger and plug in the AUX to the ipad, but the mic wouldn't work and it wouldn't be worth it.  TL:DR = No.
