But does it come with power supplies? We ordered a 5-pack and they had no power supplies, even though the box claims they did. Ubiquiti rep claimed that if we had checked the datasheet, we would have known it came without power supplies. Silliest thing I've ever heard.

The single packs always come with power supplies, the multi-packs never come with power supplies.  Its a source of constant confusion for people not used to how they package / sell their products.  I believe they figure that if you are using more than a couple AP in an environment that you will be running PoE switches to power them and not need the power supplies as a result.  If this is not the case you need to factor back in the cost of the power supplies if you buy the multi-packs and need them.

So if I have PoE going from my central setup to a in-wall UAP-AC-IW-US 802.11AC in another room, I can then connect the IW's PoE to this switch, and it'll power it?

Just so I'm clear, will the inwall "PoE out" provide both power and data once I jack it into the "PoE in" on this switch....leaving 7 more ports for data?

I'm trying to make a clean setup in my detached garage's apartment.
