Does this product work on all platforms mentioned on the product overview? Or do I need to prurchase platform specific versions.  I'm looking to use on my pc but if if it also works on my play station and xbox that would be fantastic.

You will need to buy separate copies for different platforms. The PC DVD version will work on windows and mac operating systems, but will not work on consoles (such as your xbox and playstation). The real-tone cable is universal though so you will not have to buy that a second time.

Does this specific product (Rocksmith 2014 Edition, N82E16832138164) include the cable and is it truly the version for the PC/Mac (as evidenced by the product box picture)? This information is not specified on the Specifications tab nor it is mentioned in the Overview section. Please update the product information accordingly. Failure to do so is causing a loss of sales due to a lack of confidence about the specific product being sold.

Does this edition come with everything I need to run on my PC or Laptop?

Yes. Installation disc and USB cable are included. You will, however, need an internet connection the first time you play; after that you can use offline mode wherever you want.

A sidenote: This game utilizes both Ubisoft's Uplay and Steam software, so you'll find that there is more to install than just the game itself, but it is all automated.
