This USB 3.0 4 port hub product has been designed to be connected to a computer with USB interfaces. It serves to connect additional USB devices. During operation it operates like a bi-directional repeater, which repeats USB signals as required on upstream (computer) and downstream (peripherals) cables. It is designed for USB 3.0 and backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. Its operation requires connection with a computer.
