I have not personally used this on Windows 10 but can't imagine it wouldn't.  This is because Windows does a pretty good job in ensuring backward compatibility.  Also, I think there is a compatibility function in Windows 10 that you can take advantage of to make this device work in a Windows 7/8 level...  Hope this helps.

Does this come with the power brick like the USB 2.0 model does?

Yes. The power brick is about 3.5" long, 1.75" wide, and 1.625" high when plugged in. There's a green power indicator on the bottom-left of it that shows it's being powered and a on/off rocker switch 24" from the brick that allows the user to control power to the adapter and the item plugged into it.

Will this unit work if plugged into a USB 2 port?

From my own personal experience only, most USB devices fit and run when plugged into onboard USB 2.0 slots but only perform at 2.0 speeds as did this one. Even  at 3.0 speeds, transferring the contents of a 2 GB hard drive to a new home can be mighty slow especially many small files.  Plugging in to some 2.0 hubs, particularly those that are not self powered can be a problem. Hope this helped.

Can I use this for my xbox one to download and store my games?

You can. If you have an extra 2.5" SATA hard drive, plug that into the VANTEC. Plug the VANTEC into the USB on your console. Then plug the VANTEC into an outlet for power. Let me know if you need anything else. Have a great new year.

Need to try to recover data from a Western Digital 1 TB external drive.  Will this device connect to it?  The WD seems to have different connections at SATA bridge from other external drives like my LaCie.  If not, can anyone suggest a substitute, please

Hi: Apologies in advance if I am misunderstanding your question. But the VANTEC CB-ISA225-U3 IDE/SATA TO USB 3.0 Adapter connects to "raw" hard drives with SATA or IDE connections. If your saying you have a WD 1TB external drive that normally connects with a USB connector. You would need to take the hard drive out of its enclosure and then connect it to the VANTEC CB-ISA225-US adapter (then of course connect the VANTEC to a PC with its USB connector). Again, apologies if I misunderstood the question.

Question 6

An IDE drive has a 4-pin molex power connector but I don't see a molex power lead in the pictures.  Does this product provide power to an IDE HDD by some other means?  Thanks!

It comes with a power supply & power to HDD / SSD cables. The USB power should be enough to not need the power supply on 2.5 inch HDD / SDD
