If you can no longer stand the jet engine noise of your old fan and are looking for a quieter case fan for your computers, now, Vantec has the solution for you! Vantec applies Stealth technology onto their case fan to bring you a quieter system. Stealth means moving, proceeding, or acting in a covert way. Up to 1750 RPM and the noise level as low as 20 dBA, the Vantec SF9225L case fan brings you the power in silence.
Low Noise Level The double ball bearing fan works at a whisper-quiet 20 dBA which is 80% quieter than standard case fan. You’ll hardly notice it even in use!
High Performance Operating at 1750 RPM, the Vantec SF9225L delivers an air flow of up to 28 CFM for impressive levels of heat dissipation.
Pros: Fan blows air.
Cons:
I have 4 case fans and this one is the loudest, smallest, and cheap. I am not sure why they list it as a 4 pin fan.
This made me think it was PWM. What they mean is you can connect it to a ATX 4 pin connector to get power. Not really what I was looking for, but I used it anyway. The thing is noisy and hardly moves any air.
Overall Review: Not a great fan
Pros: I recently purchased three of these fans for my PC after realizing that my existing fans could be heard in the next room. With the new fans installed, I have to look twice at my PC to see if it is really running. I can't speak to their longevity since they are new, but so far, I'm impressed.
Cons: So far... None
Overall Review: These are the quietest classics fans I've ever used. A solid purchase.
Pros: I bought 2 of these fans and the first is whisper quiet. They both move a decent amount of air.
Cons: -2nd fan constantly clicks while spinning. I'm assuming the bearing in it is no good.
Overall Review: I would buy a better fan in the future as I don't trust these to last very long.
Pros: It is very silent when not clicking
Cons: Clicking sound when running at more than 40% max fan speed pretty much makes it unbearable to be around...
Overall Review: Definitely better off going with a slightly more expensive fan and saving yourself the trouble. Not even worth going through the return process.
Overall Review: I had to replace my old 120mm case fan and I found this great fan. It's not dead silent but it's still really silent though. I just installed it when I got it a few days ago but my even when I'm running my pc hard it still feels cooler than it used to with my old fan so I"m glad I don't have to worry about it overheating or sounding like a jet engine anytime soon. I'll probably update this review later in case something goes wrong but so far I doubt that'll happen though.
Pros: Cheap, right size, plenty of mounting options. Not loud.
Cons: None as I see it.
Overall Review: Replaced a very loud fan on Supermicro server CPU heat sink. Work as expected.
Pros: This fan is quiet, I got it to replace a loud case fan. Airflow seems adequate (my pc does not generate too much heat anyway).
Cons: None
Overall Review: This was just what I needed and arrived on time and in perfect condition.
