I have limited knowledge of the subject and would like to know what is the difference between a "security monitor" and a "standard" computer monitor? I've had the same question myself. From the limited research I've done, which was based on reading specs, a security monitor is supposed to provide a sharper, clearer picture. However, for one application, I bought one of each and found the regular monitor to have a better picture than the security monitor, and it cost half as much. The regular monitor was a high-quality monitor, not the cheapest I could find. I haven't bought a security monitor since!
