If I connect this to a laptop, will it work the same as the laptop's touchscreen monitor?

yes, connecting with HDMI and USB cables allows this to perform as just another monitor on the system. You can extend, duplicate, or turn off monitors just as you would any other monitor. The vCast app performs differently. It only duplicates your existing laptop screen (with touch input as well) and there is a lag in response times. We're likely going to disable all internal embedded players and functions.

Am I correct in my understanding that this will function as a regular computer monitor via the hdmi cable? I am a bit confused because it lists a processor, but I assume that is for the built-in media player, and that it also functions as a regular computer display.
