One of the pictures show the base removed and the neck still attached. Can you remove the neck-piece for mounting?

The base and stand are separate pieces. Monitor is shipped in a box about twice the thickness of the monitor secured in molded Styrofoam. You have to assembly the monitor yourself - attach the base to the stand ahd slide it in the slot on the monitor's back.
