Does this monitor have built in speakers?

No, the monitor did not have speakers. At the time of my purchase it came with a very nice pair of earbuds. Although there are no speakers, I love the monitor because of the clear and vibrant display. The refresh rate on it also was a huge improvement over my other monitor that I had bought from dell two years ago at 4.5 times the price. All in all a great value.

I am not near it now but this is what I found online. Vertical Refresh Rate 50 - 76 Hz Horizontal Refresh Rate 24 - 83 kHz It really is a great monitor and a great value. I have been impressed and satisfied with it.
