Can you tilt this monitor?

Yes, if I remember correctly.

I put mine on an Ergotron LX dual stacking mount--not meant as an ad for a different product.

The Viewsonic monitor doesn't have a lot of articulation, but is adequate.

You may want to look at the Asus 27 inch.  I bought both separately, and I am happier with the Asus.

Does it tilt?

Yes, it does.  From straight vertical, it tilts about 10 degrees down, and can go about 30 degrees up.  I have mine on a raised center corner computer desk which puts it about center eye level, which I then tilt down about 5 degrees to make it a little more comfortable for me.  Hope this helps.

Will this work with a nvidia 550ti that has dvi-i?

According to the NVidia customer help site, yes:

"NVIDIA based graphics cards which carry a DVI-I connector are fully compatible with flat panel LCD monitors which typically have DVI-D cables."

what cables will we need for this monitor?

The monitor has a VGA and DVI port, but it only ships with a VGA cable.  You'll need a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter for the included cable.  Or if you'd like to use the DVI monitor input instead, a seperate DVI cable will be needed, in addition to an adapter for Mini DisplayPort to DVI.

Display is matte.  Have never noticed any reflection.

You do not need it to register.  I registered mine with only the  Model and Serial number.  There is no SKU# on the box.  Usually the SKU# pertains to the sellers stock #.
