can I swivel it all the way around to face the opposite direction, like to show my display to someone sitting across from my at my desk?

Yes and no. Yes, you can spin it "a lot". The base will allow at least 180 degrees of rotation (actually more than that but I didn't test how far). But from a practical standpoint, the cables do play a role. Having said that, if you keep enough slack in the cables connecting to the monitor then, yes, you should be able to swivel over 180 degrees.

How far down (how low) will the monitor adjust down to? Can it be lowered so that the bottom of the monitor is at the height of the top of the desk (or close to to that height)?

It will not drop quite that low, I took mine off and mounted them on supports, but there will only be about three or four inches or so

Can I play a video loop presentation from a flashdrive attached to the monitor?

I honestly don't know, but I doubt it. The USB port seems like a pass-through to me rather than an input.

does this come off the stand so that I could mount it to the wall?

According to the specifications, it says that it is VESA Compatible. (100 x 100mm spacing)
