Pros: Monitor was recognized.
Works as an active DP dongle.
Priced competitively with other active dongles.
Overall Review: Calling it an active dongle is absolutely correct. With this I am able to connect a 3rd monitor to my HD6950 and have eyefinity or just 3 monitors if I so choose. If you are looking for a competitively priced miniDP to DVI active adapter, go ahead and give this one a try.
Pros: This just works perfectly no complaints. Moderately priced.
This is not a passive product. It contains active circuitry to add all the displays you want as separate monitors.
Pros: Straight-forward and easy to use.
Cons: I had to wire-tie it to my power cable because I was afraid the weight wouldn't be good for the mini-DP connector.
Overall Review: Would have preferred a longer cable, but I knew what I was getting before I placed the order.
Pros: Grabbed 4 of these to set up eyefinity 6 with a couple 7970's and they do the job.
Pros: Functional active adapter. Allowing me to push my 3rd digital LCD off of my new Radeon 7870. Works much better than my previous DP to VGA adapter. Nice clean digital picture.
Cons: The only con that I can think of, is that the description says VisionTek is the brand. I got a VisionTek box that has a bag inside of it with an Accell Branded adapter inside the bag. Not a huge deal, but the only negative I can think of.
Pros: Works well. Lets you have that third monitor with your Radeon video card.
Not a bad price for an active connector
Cons: End is a little bulky.
Limited to single link DVI (Granted, the dual link converters are 100 bux)
Overall Review: Works as well as you'd expect! Been working for months.
Picked this one up as a replacement. The unit I had previous (different brand) developed an issue where it would fail to pass EDID info from the connected monitor to the computer. AMD's drivers can't deal with this and it makes your converter useless. (Though nvidia's drivers let you force settings if bad/no EDID info is present)
Pros: Worked great while it worked.
Cons: Failed after 2 months.
Overall Review: Waiting for warranty replacement request response from Vision Tek.
Pros: Does its job
Cons: One failed within 4 months
Overall Review: Bought 2 of these thinking i would need both for my dual cards to run 6 monitors. Shortly after downgraded to 5 monitors so i didn't need one of the adapters. Luckily i had the extra because after about 4 months the one i was using failed and made my eyefinity go crazy. Swapped out for the other one and it has worked fine for about 4 months now.
