will this card be able to handle 6 individual displays or is it for all one screen?

I believe you can run six displays independently.  I am currently running three independently and from all of my research you can do the six that way.  The only reason I can't say for 100 percent sure is I haven't taken it that far yet.  The caveat is that it comes with two passive mini display link to DVI connectors.  If you planning on using this on monitors that do not natively support display link then anything over two you will need to buy active adapters.  The active adapters run about 20-30 each more or less but you need to be VERY careful about what you buy as some will not work although they indicate that they are active adapters.  I purchased 2 of the POWERCOLOR adapters from Newegg and they both work perfectly on two different machines and to different models of Radeon cards.  Hope that helps you.

This card will allow you to do what you want - connect 6 monitors to one computer.

The card comes with 4 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapters and 2 Mini Didplayport to DVI adapters. So yes you will need additional adapters to make use of your HDMI ports. You will need 4 DisplayPort to HDMI adapters and 2 DVI to HDMI adapters. However there is such a thing as "active" adapters and "passive" adapters. In any multi-monitor setup you can connect up to 2 monitors with a passive adapter. Anything more than that requires active adapters.

So you will need 4 DisplayPort to HDMI adapters and 2 DVI to HDMI adapters. 4 adapters need to be active and 2 need to be passive. You get 2 passive adapters for the DVI to HDMI connections or get 2 passive adapters for the DisplayPort to HDMI connection. Either way will work. After that the other 4 adapters need to be active ones. Active adapters are not cheap but you should be able to find them for about $25 each.

You can use only 1 monitor or up to 6.  It really doesn't matter.  Just make sure you get the Active Adapters.

I have one of these and can understand why you're asking the question.

The first 2 connections can be from any 2 monitors using whichever type of connection you choose on the monitor.  You, of course, will either need to buy cables where one end is mini-DisplayPort and the other has the connection you want to use on the monitor OR you can use a standard  cable from the monitor such as HDMI and purchase a passive adapter such as from HDMI to mini-DisplayPort.

All other connections (after the first 2) must use an Active adapter.  For example, from monitor 3 you are using an HDMI cable.  In this case you will need an Active adapter that has HDMI on one end (to connect to your HDMI cable running to your monitor) and mini-DisplayPort on the other to plug into the video card.

For any connections after the first 2 you must use Active adapters that match up with the cable type you want to use to connect to the monitor.

The Active adapters are usually around $30 - $40 each and I would look at the documentation that comes with card to find a brand/model that VisionTek says has been tested  and approved for use with the card.

There are 6 mini ports on the card and it does not matter where you connect the monitors.  There's no order or sequence...just plug them in.

Hope this helps.  I believe VisionTek also speaks about how to male the connections on their web site.  If I find it later i will post for you.

I like my card and has worked well for several years.  Just be sure you stay current with the drivers.

I don't see why not ... but it's hard to say for sure. All that you need to verify is that you have the available PCIe slot required for this card. From the picture I loaded up for the GUA880 it seems to potentially have a micro ATX motherboard which has very few PCIe slots. That being said, there is a good chance any existing graphics card in the system is an x16 card and you could easily swap these cards 1:1. I wouldn't plan on trying to run both cards in the machine at the same time.

I have now been using this card 'in production' on my primary desktop driving 6 monitors (3 of one type, 3 of another) in a Linux environment and I've been extremely pleased with the results. This is NOT a gaming environment, so I can't speak to the card's performance for graphics intensive workloads (gaming).

I had this in a dell 7010 with standard power supply (~250W) and it ran 6 monitors with this 1 card!

You need to fuss with catalyst control center a bit to get windows to see all 6 as 1 giant display, but I got it working without too much trouble.

Can anyone tell me what motherboard they have this card working with?

I'm using this on a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H without issue.  If you plan on using more than three of the heads you will need ACTIVE display port adapters such as the Accell B087B-006B-2 UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DVI-D Single-Link Active Adapters.  That is unless you happen to have all display port monitors.  I don't do gaming - so can't answer anything about frame rates, etc.

Is the PCI express port on this video card PCIe 2.0 x16?

This is PCI Express 3.0, however it is backwards compatible with 2.0 and most likely compatible with 1.x.
With this video card you will not notice a difference between PCI Express 2.0 and 3.0

I am wanting to run 6 tvs off of this card (potentially 9 off two).
All of them have HDMI inputs.
Ideally we would like to have the ability to have them as separate displays for working on the desktop/one tv to a console. 
Or having them as a single display for watching a movie.
Would this card be capable of doing that, and what type of adapters would I need to get. {People have mentioned 'active' adapters} to allow the use of all 6 tvs?

I run 6 Acer 27 inch monitors and have little to now trouble.
I can tell you I have more trouble out of the software it will randomly move desktop to a straight line from the 3 top 3 bottom config that I set up. I have resorted to just using windows to control the monitors. 
 So one big screen may be an issue for you. 
Switching from monitor to TV I would think would not be a problem.

Adapters with my set up cost me an additional 25.00 per monitor because I do not have HDMI inputs just DVI.

The thing with TVs is the resolution is not very good I run 1920 X1080 where with a TV you are not going to get that unless you pay for a very very good one and then times that by the number of TVs needed.  And yes you can tell the difference in the quality.
