Is this a Displayport(M) and HDMi(F)  adapter? The picture seems to show otherwise.

Yes.  HDMI has two rounded corners, whereas DP has only one.  In the second photo, you can see the HDMI Female slot, and in the third photo you can see the DisplayPort Male bit.  If you need to plug a monitor that supports HDMI into a PC with DisplayPort slots, this is what you need.

Is this a Display port(M) and a HDMi(F)? Will it support 2580 x 1080 as I will return it if it doesn't.

Yes, it ought to.  I'm using it to hook up a 4K TV's HDMI connection to the DisplayPort on my video card.
