The bezels look thin. Is there any edging from the bezel inward around the screen?

Not much.  There is maybe 1/8” but it does not really protrude outward.  Maybe less, 1/16”

is this a monitor i can use without a pc?

You can use it for whatever you can connect to it, really. Game consoles, satellite box etc. as long as it has HDMI. It has some speakers on it too that sound a bit tinny but will suffice for personal viewing, if you want it loud you should look into some external sound solutions.

Is this actually mount compatible? It claims so, but the pictures don't seem to support the labeling.

The description states 100mm mount but it is actually 75mm.

Question 4

The images for this monitor don't show where the vesa mount is, though the technical spec states it has vesa mount compatibility.
Where are the vesa mounts?

It is VESA compatible.  The mount holes don't show up well on the stock photos.  They are toward the bottom of the unit, around the area where the stand attaches.
