Yes, I believe it does. From below, "the included HDMI input enables you to easily connect an HDMI-enabled source to this monitor..." 
I bought mine a while ago and am using HDMI - I didn't buy a cable but I did have a few spares kicking around.

No, because the back where the mounting location on the monitor is curve and not flat.

how do I make the speaker out jack work? nothing is happening when I try to use it. It should just supersede for sound choice when I put the chord in but it does not work at all? Is there a special mode? setting?

That is a SPEAKER IN jack. It should be connected to your SPEAKER OUT Jack of your PC.
Take the black wire with GREEN connectors and connect to monitor and green speaker jack on PC. Make sure you TURN UP THE VOLUME on the monitor (in the menus) and make sure your PC is outputting sound to the speaker jack.

Can you HANG this monitor from the wall?

I guess you could.  The base connects to the screen, so you could leave the screen off and attach a mounting bracket if you wanted to.  Have to see which ones are compatible.

One thing to note - the audio is awful on this, so have another pair of speakers to use rather than the one built into this monitor.

With stands it's about 18" high.  But beware, you get what you pay for.  I have two that work great now, but I had to return two others before I got here.

I'm no expert, but I believe that the operating system is not very pertinent to the monitor; i.e.:  you can use this monitor with Windows 7, 10, or whatever.  Check with Newegg's expert.
