Watercool HEATKILLER® Tube - Stuts 200mm - Raw Aluminum (30243)

A set of four raw aluminum replacement struts, 200 mm long, for Watercool's HEATKILLER® Tube reservoirs of the 200 size. The Watercool HEATKILLER® Tube - Struts 200mm - Raw Aluminum (30243) is made from solid aluminum left without anodizing, and one of the four struts is designed to hold an LED strip.

Bare struts you can finish yourself

Interchangeable struts are, in Watercool's words, an easy way to customize your HEATKILLER Tube Series reservoir. Watercool's colored versions have a high end anodically oxidized finish. This set is the natural one: the struts are not anodized, so you can have them anodized or paint them in a color of your own.

Please be careful to choose the correct strut length for your tube. The name of your HEATKILLER Tube tells you its length: for example a Tube 100 requires 100mm long struts, and a Tube 200 takes these.

LED strip and fitting

Delivery includes four struts, and one of them has a small opening so that an LED strip can be led through it and fixed in place. Corresponding LED strips are available separately; look in reservoir lighting.

To change the struts, drain the reservoir and take it out of the loop. Then open the lid, remove the top (four M4x12 screws), pull out the glass tube and take off the bottom, which four screws hold to the struts. On the D5 and DDC versions the pump comes off first. Reassemble in reverse order.

Notes

• Keep the tube O-rings, and check that they sit correctly and are undamaged when the tube goes back in.
• Check all seals before you start the loop again. A reservoir with a squeezed or damaged O-ring must not be used.
