Anyone ages 6+ can benefit from using a Waterpik water flosser to clean deep between teeth and under the gumline where other products can't reach. It's also great for cleaning braces and other orthodontics, bridges, crowns, and dental implants.
Is it safe to add mouthwash or other additives in my water flosser?
Yes, but please do not exceed a 1:1 ratio of water to mouthwash. You can also add therapeutic mouth rinse (as prescribed by your dental professional) or hydrogen peroxide (3%). After, run a full reservoir of clean warm water though unit to rinse.
Can I purchase additional or replacement tips? Which flossing tips are included?
Genuine Waterpik flossing tips are available separately; 3 tips for a variety of needs and multiple users included:
1 Precision Tip (JT-450E)
1 Plaque Seeker Tip (PS-100E)
1 Orthodontic Tip (OD-100E)
How do I charge the Waterpik Cordless Gem 5100 water flosser?
LED flashes when battery is low and turns red when depleted
Connect cable to the unit (USB-C) and then to a standard USB adapter rated 5V, up to 3A (adapter not included)
LED pulses slowly while charging and becomes solid when fully charged
Is this product easy to clean and maintain? How do I remove the water reservoir?
Hold power handle & pull reservoir down to remove - clean in top rack dishwasher (air/non-heated dry) or hand wash
Monthly: Add 1 part white vinegar + 2 parts warm water to reservoir, run through unit; repeat with full reservoir of warm water only
