WAVLINK 10-Port Full Gigabit Switch with 8 PoE+ Ports
This 10-port full gigabit switch features 8 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports with a total 120W PoE budget, supporting up to 30W per port and auto device detection. It offers three smart modes—Default, VLAN and Extend—to suit regular networking, port isolation and 250m long-range transmission. Plug-and-play design needs no complex setup, compatible with desktop and rackmount installation. Built with durable metal casing, LED indicators and efficient heat dissipation, it delivers stable lag-free performance and is ideal for IP cameras, wireless APs, IP phones and office network use.
Safety Note
This device has a permanently connected protective ground conductor, which must be connected to the building’s grounding system by a qualified professional.
Mode
Default Mode: Standard gigabit PoE switch operation, with all ports communicating freely.
VLAN Mode (Isolation Mode): Ports 1–8 are isolated from each other for enhanced security, but can communicate with uplink ports 9–10.
Extend Mode (Monitoring Mode): Forces ports 1–8 to 10 Mbps for long-range transmission up to 250 meters.
Specification
- 8*up to 1000Mbps Ports compliant with IEEE 802.3at/af PoE standards.
- 30W Max Power Output on Each PoE Port
- 250m Ultra-Long Distance Data & Power Transmission
- Features three functional modes for switching: Default Mode, VLAN Mode, and Extend Mode
- Features port overload protection, short-circuit protection, and PoE port prioritisation
Attention
- Handle with care to protect precision components from impact or vibration. Upon receipt, inspect for damage or missing parts and contact support immediately if needed.
- Install in a dry, well-ventilated area with humidity below 90%. Keep away from corrosive gases and strong electromagnetic sources. Ensure adequate space around the unit and do not stack equipment on it.
- Use only certified three-hole sockets with proper grounding. Ensure the protective ground (PGND) wire is correctly connected.
- Do not open the chassis. Unauthorized opening risks severe electric shock and will void the product warrant y. All repairs must be performed by qualified personnel only.

Q: I have 6 IP cameras and 1 wireless access point. Can this switch power them all at the same time without dropping connection?
A: Yes. This PoE switch comes with a total power budget of 120W for 8-port and up to 30W per port (802.3af/at compliant). Based on our 72-hour full-load lab test, all 8 PoE ports can run simultaneously without voltage drop or device disconnection. Here’s a quick calculation: 6 cameras (each ~10-12W) + 1 AP (~10-15W) total around 70-90W, which falls well within the power budget. If your cameras have night vision or PTZ functions that require more power (up to 30W max per port), each port is able to deliver that power independently. Just make sure the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the total power budget – refer to the product page for a power calculator reference.
Q: Does this switch overheat? I will install it inside a network cabinet with limited airflow. How durable is it?
A: We designed this switch with temperature control as a top priority. The metal housing+fan design with built-in heat dissipation channels prevents overheating. In our continuous load test (24/7 for 30 days), the switch maintained stable performance without any port failure. Unlike external power adapters that fail in 3-6 months, this switch features a industrial-grade internal power supply with overcurrent and short-circuit protection, so there are fewer points of failure. If you are using a 8-port model in a rack, we recommend leaving 1U of ventilated space above and below to maximize airflow – and the metal casing doubles as a passive heatsink to dissipate heat efficiently even in limited airflow cabinets.
Q: Will this switch work with my access points / cameras / non-PoE devices?
A: Yes. This switch is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, so it works with any standard PoE device regardless of brand. For non-PoE devices (computers, printers, game consoles), the switch automatically detects that no power is required and safely turns off PoE on that port – so you can mix PoE and non-PoE devices on the same switch without any risk.
