Pros: This is an excellent and very easy to setup Repeater. It extends the network really well and has a pretty decent range. If you select the Bridge option (instead of Gateway) there is no way to turn off one of the WiFi Networks (2.4Ghz or 5Ghz). HOWEVER, I found a work around if you make the network name blank on setup it then does not run that network. The Repeater tries to suggest using Gateway as a default. I highly recommend you DO NOT do that as a Gateway means it will redo all the protocols and redo the signal before it moves it on. There is a huge performance hit when you do this. I found that if you use this as a Bridge that you get rock solid performance!
Cons: I can't think of any as for the price this thing was super easy to setup and it does the job very well!
Overall Review: A big note: If you are wiring your home to be a smart home (such as switches or light-bulbs) it is important to note that many of these devices do not play well with Repeaters and in some cases will cause your smart home to go crazy. This only happens if the Repeater is using the exact same name as your main WiFi and/or the devices in question are trying to connect to the Repeater instead of the main WiFi. The work around is to make sure the Repeaters Network extension simply has a different name.
