Pros: I read every single review on this monitor before buying. On Newegg and other places online. Several things stood out above all other monitors I'd considered: Almost non-existent issues of dead/stuck pixels. Not a single person complaining of poor viewing angles, backlighting, or ghosting. Think for a second why you're considering buying a monitor. To LOOK at it. Not to listen to it, or use it's buttons daily. This monitor exceeds the most important FUNCTIONALITY tests perfectly. I compared against the Acers, HannsG, Samsung, HP, you name it. EVERY single one of the other brands had TONS of complaints about the VIEWING aspects of the monitors. This one had next to nothing. Mine arrived expediently and with zero dead/floating pixels. It's incredible at any angle, with any connection you give it.

Cons: So far, nothing. I bought this knowing what I was getting. It's fantastic and what I expected.

Overall Review: Again, I bought it because the only things people were complaining about were the buttons (which are perfectly fine), the stand (again fine), and the speakers (which should not have any affect whatsoever on a rating of a MONITOR). Hope this helps.

Pros: The reviews were right - this monitor is gorgeous. You will love it the minute you take it out of the box. Before you even turn it on, you'll notice that Westinghouse didn't waste a ton of space around the screen as do many LCD manufacturers - the design is clean, minimalist, and efficient. Although this has nothing to do with its functionality, it adds very nicely to the overall aesthetic appeal of the monitor. As a super-picky web developer that can spot a 1px gap at 1920x1200 on a 15" display, I can safely say that this thing destroys its competition with a clean, crisp display that looks great at all resolutions - I tested composite, component, d-sub and HDMI and all worked beautifully. Xbox 360 looks awesome at 1080i, even sitting two feet away :-D I spent several weeks reading reviews and looking up specs before I decided on this baby, and I can truly say I've never been happier about a purchase. You will not regret buying this monitor, *especially* considering the price. Wow.

Cons: I would agree with BioNDYale - once snapped into place, the monitor is a bit difficult to tilt (but how often do you change the tilt anyway?) I would also agree that the inputs are spaced a little too close together, and it's a bit of a pain to screw in the d-sub connector. Is it a big deal? Hardly. This monitor is so darn tall it strains my neck a bit to view it - but that's simply a natural consequence of its size. The buttons may be a bit confusing at first, but they're really not bad, I promise - the OSD is very well designed, and once you figure out the buttons you'll be cruising through it. Oh, I almost forgot - my only REAL complaint: *no audio output*. If you plan on hooking up anything other than your computer, plan on not being able to use your own speakers without a bit of hassle.

Overall Review: If the device you're hooking up has an audio output (either RCA or 3.5mm aka 1/8" phone), route that sucker to the line-input of your PC instead of sending it to the monitor - and make sure to enable line-input in your PC's sound control panel (don't forget to turn up the volume too). This is a wonderful monitor - if I could give it a rating of more than 5 eggs, I would.

Pros: Inputs. Price.

Cons: Button Placement. HDMI Implementation?

Overall Review: I've had this for some time. Some people on here complained about excessive 'lag' in games. I noticed it somewhat. Finally I figured out what it is. This is a 1920x1200 screen. What you are seeing out the box is not a native signal, its a processed and enlarged signal. In gaming this causes lag. To get a native picture, you have to change the Aspect Ratio(4th menu) from Full to Normal. This is good and bad. Good in the sense that you get a non-lagged native picture which is suitable for video game systems. Bad in the sense that you now have an inch of black screen at the top and the bottom. So basically for normal tv type operations unless you want an extra layer of conversion this will be in fact a 22" screen. This post should save some people some grief.

Pros: This monitor has a P-MVA panel, with great viewing angles and high contrast. The brightness control modifies the backlight intensity, so there's no decrease in contrast ratio with brightness turned down. Nice-looking bezel, controls are hidden from the front. Lots of inputs. No dead or stuck pixels on mine. Can be wall mounted with standard 100 mm VESA mount.

Cons: Stand is a little wobbly and hard to adjust, and there's no height adjustment. Backlight adjustment is accomplished by (probably) pulsewidth modulation, causing a very slight buzzing sound (I can't notice it from the front with any other noise in the room). No DVI input, but a $3 HDMI adapter from Monoprice gets the job done. Buttons take a bit to get used to, but they're easy enough once you do. Non-D-SUB inputs do not have standby mode. Contrast is not quite linear throughout the whole range of brightness, but can be easily fixed with your video card.

Overall Review: Great value for a non-TN panel. Costs about 60% of any other monitor in its class. The downsides of this monitor are minor compared to its high display quality. If you absolutely must have the best, than this monitor isn't for you. However, if you have a budget, this is a nice monitor to have.

Pros: Blows away sammy 24" models I tried. No dead pixels, no bright/dark areas, just clean beautiful uniform color. No tearing or distortion of any kind, absolutely beautiful.

Cons: Doesn't come with a DVI to HDMI cable that you will need to run this with a computer to get a good picture (don't use the vga port). The speakers are too weak to use this as a television in a large room, but in an office it will work.

Overall Review: It uses an MVA panel I believe unlike most of the 24" models which use a TN panel. I can see this monitor great even at side/up/down viewing angles. Again, I use it for gaming and no problems whatsoever. Make sure vsync and triple buffering are on.

Pros: Great image I love 1920x1200 gaming on this. Plug n play on my 6800 and 7900gs using DVI-HDMI cable. Instantly worked right after installing drivers and playing with my preferred color and brightness settings. This thing just begs for a version 2.0 that fixes all the things that drive people crazy! If this display does get a version 2.0 it will be hard to say no to these.

Cons: I tried 2 MSI 9600GT's and 1 Palit 9600GT and image had bleeding colors and text that looked scaled. It took a tiny hack to get this monitor to work. Problem is that the 9600GT Nvidia vista driver refuses to acknowledge this display as anything other then a HDTV. Even when I specified in the Nvidia control panel. Took me a few weeks to find a solution! Fix details below: ****THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR THIS SPECIFIC MONITOR**** Extract the latest Nvidia drivers (175.19) to c:\NVIDIA cancel the install once it starts up Use notepad to open c:\NVIDIA\WinVista\175.19\nv_disp.inf In the [nv_SoftwareDeviceSettings] section add the following: HKR,, OverrideEdidFlags0, %REG_BINARY%, 5C,85,80,51,00,00,FF,FF,04,00,00,00,7E,01,00 Now uninstall the current nvidia driver and run c:\NVIDIA\WinVista\175.19\setup.exe

Overall Review: The display controls on the side are weird but once you use them enough you can grudingly get around pretty easy. A great monitor with some bugs and annoyances. Also the HDMI plug does get pretty hot so get a good DVI-HDMI cable. Like so many large companies Westinghouse support people are only interested in canned solutions to problems. Don't call Westinghouse unless you are a newbie to LCD's. Thanks to newegg for putting up with my 9600gt RMA's! Maybe you can get Westinghouse to hook up with Nvidia on this problem. Apparently this isn't the only monitor to have such problems. Some LG's and HANNS-G have reportedly had this happen as well.

Pros: I went from a 19" CRT to this. I didn't think the change would be this dramatic. The screen produces a clean, crisp, high resolution image. With its 1920x1200 resolution, this monitor displays HD content flawlessly. No lagging, no artifacts, just HD glory. And its big enough to accommodate a group of friends to watch some HD movies and chill. I suppose they kept the cost down by avoiding a DVI input. You won't miss it however, because you can use the HDMI connector instead. There's no loss in quality, the digital input is intact, and there's no limit on the content you can watch.

Cons: The "cons" are mere consequences of keeping the price down. The lack of a DVI connector may erk some, but remedied with an adapter. The menu is a nightmare, especially after a few beers. The "stand" looks like some spare plexiglass Westinghouse left on the factory floor.

Overall Review: Unless you're a photographer who needs near 100% color replication, the costs that are cut to provide this low price monster are nearly imperceptible. Turning the brightness down is piece of cake. There's three presets you can shuffle through (in descending order of brightness), "picture", "text, and "economy". No dead pixels, everything works, no humming or other noises. Great bang for the buck.

Pros: Excellent brightness and colors. Large selection of input types (but see cons). Good price.

Cons: No DVI. Using HDMI, monitor will not shut down via OS display settings; must physically shut down using on/off button. Buttons located on side of frame, not labeled clearly, and difficult to distinguish by feel.

Overall Review: I am not unhappy with this monitor, but I can't excuse the poor design choices. I would probably spend a little more on a better-designed monitor.
