Pros: This monitor is one of the best monitors I've ever seen. If you put on a white screen all areas of the screen are equal. Color is brilliant and true. I would purchase it again. I have a SLI system with two 8600 GTS cards. It is a perfect match for this monitor. Also Westinghouse assured me that this is an HDCP monitor so I will be able to play BluRay discs once I upgrade my DVD player.
Cons: Dead pixels aren't the worst thing that can happen. Bright pixels are. The monitor I recieved had one bright pixel at the bottom left of the screen. Unfortunately I had already mailed the rebate before I noticed it. New Egg would have replaced it had I not removed the bar code from the box. Newegg went out of their way to satisfy me. They contacted Westinghouse for me and Westinghouse will repair or replace it as necessary under warrenty. If not for this I would give it 5 eggs. Even with the bad pixel I would purchase this monitor again. You must start this monitor in vga mode (vga monitor connected) then switch to hdmi using the monitor menu. At this point turn off the monitor and connect the monitor to a dvi or hdmi source.
Overall Review: To fully appreciate this monitor you need to purchase a 10.2 giga bits per second cable. I purchased a Sonicwave cable. A one meter cable cost me $45.00. It meets the cable requirements of HDMI 1.3. The improvement in picture quality was amazing. You need to read the training material at www.hdmi.com. HDMI and DVI are negotiated communications proticals. The cable is everthing.
