I have 2 printers that I am looking for longer cables to reach my computer. Is this a cable  that will extend the length that I already have?

Your best bet is to buy a single USB cable to completely replace the current cable. Once you get over 10ft and start "piggy-backing" USB cables you will lose functionality with some devices.

This will FIT onto a standard USB cable just like an extension cord, but it's 50/50 whether the device is going to work with that configuration.

This cable is a male to female USB A-Type. Some devices may use a B-Type connector on the male end (the end that plugs into the printer). Check the ends of your cable and do a quick google search for the difference between B-Type and A-Type.
