Would this be compatible with a 660 Ti and How would you go about installing this?

Yes it is compatible with 660Ti, there are detailed instructions on how to mount the cooler on. Make sure you have the screws on the your 660Ti, Arctic doesn't provide any spare screws for mounting it after you take the cooler off your 660

Can you overclock your gpu with this fan?

Of course. However, due to the efficiency of cooling, the fans run slower compared to stock cooling, this may not provide enough airflow to the rest of the components (i.e. voltage regulating on the card, etc.) and they may overheat before the GPU chip does.

You can overclock, but I wouldn't clock it too high. Be sure to monitor internal temperatures and be careful, as always.

Question 3

Not realizing this came with its own thermal paste, I went to the store and bought some.

Would using this other thermal compound as a substitute for the G-1 Compound in the packaging result in my GPU overheating to 90+C?

If you are getting 90+c just idle or light use, then i doubt the thermal compound is the issue, but possibly not being seated or making flush consistent contact with the gpu. however i did not use the thermal compound that came with. i do not recall what i used, but something more high end. but even then you'd likely only have a minor difference in temps. i would check the seating to the gpu.

also keep in mind, this cooler isn't meant for super high end graphics card regardless of what it says.

Question 4

Will this work with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 TI?  Also, card has a 2 pin connector for power,  this fan had a 4 pin, does the included adapter account for this?

Check out Arctic's website.  A lot of useful information there. Arctic says this cooler supports the 550Ti.  Personally, I think the Twin Turbo II is overkill for you though.  The cooler is good for 250W cooling, and your card will MAX at 116W.  The next step down is the Mono PLUS, which is good for 200W, but is only 5 bucks cheaper.  Either will work, so it is up to you.  I put this on my Twin Frozr II because I got sick of RMAing due to dead fan.  I'm very happy with quality and results.

Will this fit on a R9 290 card?

That said, it suggests (at least) for the R9 280X and some of the other GPUS manufactured before, or after february 2013, you need to check the gap of the card itself.  If the Ram has a higher clearance than the GPU die, you probably won't be able to make it work without a copper shim of some sort. However, that info may not extend to the R9 290.

Arctic Cooling lists two pieces that will work with the R9 290, and that is the Accelero Xtreme III and Accelero Hybrid.  While they're certainly more expensive, they're at least certified to your card.

Hope this is helpful. You can also check out the reference R9 290 specs to see if the mounting holes changes between the 280x and the 290.

Question 6

I am running a very tight mITX build. Coolermaster 130 Elite case and a Powercolor 7870 Tahiti LE. Does this add any height to the card? I have plenty of length, but the stock GPU fan and heatsink barely fit as is.

Yes, it does add height vs a stock cooler.  Wish I could provide a delta (change in) height, but I have since upgraded and no longer have this card.  Best guess would be at least 10-15mm.

Is this compatible with the xfx 7870?

Yes it is, be careful though not to bend the board when you swap the fan out, and expect to plug it into a molex on your PSU as well.

Does this cooler work on a 7950?

Yeah it'll work on that. Just take ur time and read the instructions first and u'll b good. I thought it was a matter of popping off the stock cooler and snapping that one on but letting the glue dry is essential to getting optimal performance out of the cooler.

will this fit my HD6870?

It should - I installed mine on an XFX HD6870. Note that it will be a little off-center compared to the stock fan - make sure there's a bit of spare clearance toward the front and bottom of your case. Other than that, worked beautifully.

Anyone know if this is compatible with the ASUS R9 270x?

Have you checked the manufacture website for updated fitment and installation instructions, if it is supposed to be the same PCB as the 7000 series maybe it does but I would not just guess try emailing them see if they can verify the fitment.
